Rockstar has discounted its older GTA games on Steam until GTA 6 launches on November 19. The Definitive Edition trilogy (GTA III, Vice City and San Andreas) is $19.79, and GTA IV: The Complete Edition is $5.99. PC Gamer reports the deals are Steam-only, and GTA 6 isn’t coming to PC at launch.

Reported PC Gamer, citing Isthereanydeal, says this is the lowest price the trilogy has ever had and close to the lowest for GTA IV. In Europe the trilogy is €19.79 and GTA IV is €6 (PC Gamer).
Which one should you buy?
- Only buying one? GTA IV: The Complete Edition. It costs less than a third of the trilogy, includes both expansions, and PC Gamer calls it the game where the series’ modern tone began.
- Want to play the series in order? Get the trilogy. That’s the run Kai Cenat’s GTA marathon is doing on stream: III, then Vice City, then San Andreas.
- Know about the reviews. The Definitive Editions had a rough launch in 2021. On Steam, Vice City and San Andreas now rate “Very Positive” but GTA III is still “Mixed” Reported.
- Already own GTA V? Nothing to buy here. GTA V Enhanced isn’t discounted.
Why this sale is PC-only
GTA 6 launches on November 19 on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S only, and Rockstar hasn’t given a PC date (GTA 6 PC release date). PC Gamer says there is no sign of the same discounts on the PlayStation or Xbox stores. On PlayStation, note that GTA V and Red Dead Redemption 2 are leaving PS Plus (PS Plus GTA 5 and RDR2 leaving).
If you’ll be playing GTA 6 on console, the cheap old games are an easy way to fill the 12 days. If you’re waiting on PC, expect a longer wait.
