Official Famitsu quotes Atlus: the PS5 / PS4 / Xbox Series X|S / PC (Steam) download price revision starts November 12 (Thursday) to match the Switch 2 launch day. The deluxe “Atlus Brand 35th Digital Anniversary Edition” includes the digital artbook, soundtrack app and the game’s DLC.
Is this a worldwide sale?
Reported RPG Site notes the cut is confirmed for Japan and that other regions are not confirmed in the same announcement, though price matching often follows. Until Atlus or SEGA posts Western store markdowns, treat ¥3,990 as a Japan storefront change — not an automatic PS Store US/EU or Steam regional cut.
If you shop on a Japanese account, double-check the storefront price on Nov 12 before buying. Account-region rules and payment methods still apply.
Why Nov 12 matters on the calendar
- Same day as Switch 2 Metaphor. Atlus is aligning installed-base pricing with the new SKU.
- One week before GTA 6. Nov 12 is also the reported code-in-box street date window for some GTA 6 retail copies in our cancel/refund guide — different game, same busy week.
- Award-winning Atlus RPG at a clearance-like JP price. Metaphor launched October 2024 and won major 2024 awards; a sub-¥4,000 standard digita ticket is the headline for Japanese players who skipped it.
Buy checklist
- Confirm your storefront region is Japan before expecting ¥3,990.
- On Nov 12, verify the listed price on PS Store / Microsoft Store / Steam JP.
- Deluxe buyers: confirm anniversary edition contents (artbook app, soundtrack app, DLC) still match the listing.
- Switch 2 owners: the new SKU is ¥3,990 standard / ¥5,990 deluxe digital the same day.
- Outside Japan: watch for a separate Western announcement — do not assume the JP cut ports over.
