Rockstar is bringing back the classic GTA fold-out map, but not in the box. On November 19, 2026, launch day, it will add an official printable Grand Theft Auto VI cover art poster and map of Leonida to its website as a free download. A double-sided physical version follows on the Rockstar Store shortly after launch, for $0.99 or free with any Rockstar Store purchase.
What Rockstar announced
Official In its November 3 Newswire post, alongside the new November 10 preload date, Rockstar said: “On November 19 we will be adding an official printable Grand Theft Auto VI cover art poster and map of Leonida as a free digital download to the official site.” It added that “a double-sided physical version of this poster will also be made available shortly after launch from the Rockstar Store – for $0.99 on its own or as a free gift with any purchase from the Rockstar Store.”
All the ways to get it
| Version | Price | When | Where |
|---|---|---|---|
| Printable poster and map | Free | Nov 19, 2026 | Rockstar’s official GTA VI site |
| Double-sided physical poster | $0.99 | Shortly after launch | Rockstar Store |
| Physical poster as a gift | Free with any order | Shortly after launch | Rockstar Store |
| In the GTA 6 box | Not mentioned by Rockstar; the box contains a download code, not a disc | ||
Prices are Rockstar’s US-dollar figures. Rockstar hasn’t said which countries the Rockstar Store will ship the poster to, what shipping costs, or the poster’s size.
Why this matters to long-time fans
Fold-out maps were part of the box for years. GamesRadar+ points out that GTA 3, Vice City and San Andreas shipped with a poster that had a map on one side and game art on the other, and GTA 4 and GTA 5 had double-sided maps. GTA 6’s boxed version is a download code with no disc, so Rockstar is offering the map separately. GamesRadar+ also notes the code-in-box edition is listed “while supplies last”.
Tips if you plan to print it
- Check the file first. Rockstar hasn’t said what size or resolution the download will be. Wait until you see it before booking a large print.
- Use a print shop for large sizes. Home printers usually top out at A4 or US Letter. A local print shop or an online service can print one large sheet.
- Personal use only. Rockstar art is copyrighted. Printing it for your wall is the point; selling prints isn’t.
